On 24th December
2020 I was arrested at my home which I share with my family including my
mother it was during an argument with my mother I ended up breaking
some furniture in our own property while my mother was in another room
and I was in an entirely different
room my mother was obviously upset and I was also furious but unknown
to me my mother had gone next door to where our other family lives while
I was continuing to break some furniture with no tools again unknown to
me my mother had called the police just at
the time when I was beginning to calm down again
When the officers arrived naturally I was upset and did not even want to
open the door or even look at the officers so I went to our garden
again unknown to me they ended up breaking into a locked gate at the
side of our house and gaining entry to our garden.
When I saw the officers while I was in the garden the first officer
approached me and said is your name "Mohammed" meanwhile another officer
(Allan) went into my house to have a look around to which I replied
"Yeah" then I saw (Ahmed) he had a taser drawn and
hidden behind his back I told him "Do not come near me" the first
office (Ahmed) started shouting "Get on the ground now" I asked him
"what for?" and held up my hands the officer (Ahmed) continued screaming
"Get on the floor now", "Get on your knees" so I
naturally complied and went on my knees with my hands up the officer
(Ahmed) then screamed "Lie down on the floor" when he could clearly see I
had no weapons or any objects in my hands I was also holding my hands
very high in the air however (Ahmed) he continued
screaming "Get on the floor" and (Ahmed) he said "I am red dotting you"
and pointed some sort of red light in my face then at my chest as he
continued screaming "Get on the floor" when I was already on my knees
with my hands high in the air and palms out.
My sister then came out from next door to our house. She started
pleading with the (Ahmed) officer not to shoot me with the taser this
(Ahmed) officer was actually still considering to taser me while I was
on my knees hands in the air so the (Ahmed) officer
looked at my sister and decided not to shoot me with the taser the
second officer (Allan) then came out of my house and the first officer
(Ahmed) instructed him (Allan) to "cuff me" the second officer (Allan)
handcuffed me on my knees however even while I
was handcuffed this officer (Ahmed) kept the taser trained on me then
after a while he holstered it. I started asking some questions during
the whole ordeal in which I never acted aggressively in any manner to any
of these officer even with this undue force
I did try to explain to the officer that I was having an argument but I
was to furious to even talk properly with the (Ahmed) officer and the
way that they had treated me I also asked (Ahmed) him numerous times
"What they were doing here?", "Who called them?"
and (Ahmed) he responded where still investigating. The first officer
(Ahmed) then told me I was going to be arrested and I asked him (Ahmed)
"What I was being arrested for?" and he (Ahmed) said "Criminal damage"
and I said to him (Ahmed) at least once this
is my own property so there is no criminal damage he (Ahmed) then said
"He may de-arrest me later" however he (Ahmed) then made phone call and
said I was going to be arrested so I was searched and put in the back of
the police car while I was in the police
car I felt the cuffs had been put on very tightly and I complained to
the officer (Allan) who had put the handcuffs on and who was sitting
next to me in the police car that "these cuffs are way to tight" which
was simply ignored. When we arrived at the police
station I told the custody sergeant I did not agree with any of these
charges and I tried to explain they had arrested me for no reason
custody sergeant ent told me now that I was at the custody suite I would have
to be taken into custody so I was searched thoroughly
and when officer (Allan) took the handcuffs off it was clear they were
way to tight there were big bruises on my wrists which I showed the
custody sergeant when he asked me if I needed medical assistance but
none was given they took all my details and DNA
but I did not consent to the photo and DNA collection and did not sign
the consent as well. When I was arrested and processed I did have some
cash and personal details with me which further show I was not expecting
be arrested at all for any of my actions.
In this case I protested this was an arrest for no reason multiple times
all of which were ignored or no reason was given other then "criminal
damage" by officer (Ahmed).
After three hours I was released without charge or interview when my
sister had arrived to pick me up from the station. I requested a copy of
the custody record from the custody sergeant which was different from
the one who had processed me and he said I could
find it online at west-midlands.police.uk - I have tried looking on
their website but I cannot find this anywhere.
So what am I looking to do:
1) Get a copy of my custody record
2) Delete my DNA and fingerprint data to which I gave no consent
3) Assess if any compensation is due for false imprisonment and undue force
I have not exaggerated my story in any way and you can find the full
evidence on the police body cams which the officer told me were switched
on. This is obviously a very embarrassing situation and way to be
treated by police officers for myself so I do not
wish to disclose this information to anyone unless it is necessary.
